Primarily responsible for providing IT support to employees, PC setup & maintenance, software/hardware updates & upgrades, user account management, software & hardware purchasing, and inventory management.
Support remote and local employees to resolve all problems and emergencies related to PCs, laptops, and the phone system.
Install, upgrade, and configure network printing, directory structures, user access, security, software, and file services.
Provision user profiles, user environments, directories, access rights and security.
Provide computer, phone, etc. documentation and training to employees.
Maintain asset inventory.
Assist with maintenance, upgrades, and trouble-shooting of IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networking equipment, phones system, network file server, etc.
Assist with technical research on network upgrades and components, upgrades and installation of PCs, servers, networking equipment, and software to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility.
Assist with purchase, install, configure and maintain new servers, network components, hardware, software, etc.
Assist with administration of phone system infrastructure.
Administration of Office 365 clients and licensing
Experience with PC hardware installation & trouble-shooting
Experience with OS and other software installation & trouble-shooting
Familiar with Windows-based servers, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Domains, Microsoft Exchange Server
Experience with Windows Operating Systems including W7, and W8.
Experience with Microsoft SQL, VBScript for Microsoft Exchange and/or ISA Server are a plus (but not required).
Experience in ordering computer hardware and software, telephone equipment is a plus (but not required).
Strong communication skills (both written & oral) and strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot network hardware, software, and peripherals.
Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions.
Ability to provide a range of support activities for users.
Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation and guides for users.
Ability to develop systems solutions for operational problems.
Ability and desire to learn new things quickly.
Ability to work on multiple projects at once.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
