Senior Voice Engineer

Job Description
Architecture, design, and development of IP Telephony & Unified Communications product offerings, with primary focus on the Enterprise market segment. The individual will have strong IP Telephony, Unified Communications, IP design, and integration skills. The individual will also be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to, providing initial design options based on market requirements, working with internal teams to identify OSS/BSS integration dependencies, assisting the Solution Architecture organization with complex designs and implementation plans, contributing to RFI and RFP responses in various forums, documenting overall service architecture, and providing service overview training to internal organizations.
Candidate must possess excellent analytical and presentation skills and be able to influence internal and external organizations. The ability to interface with the customer (internal/external) is also required. Must be capable and willing to learn new technologies and protocols, as well as develop processes, procedures, and best practices. You must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deliverables in a global environment.
Responsibilities:
a. Research, develop and architect IP Telephony & Unified Communications solutions in both the Enterprise and Wholesale space, including High Level and Low Level design and implementation plans, both physical and logical. Produce detailed design documents, diagrams, and service guidelines for products and services.
b. Work with internal and external technical teams in developing Market Requirements into deliverable products and services.
c. Provide network performance, scalability and quality improvements & define innovative ideas on how to redesign network architecture and maximize network quality.
d. Develop requirements for IP Telephony & Unified Communications network elements to support existing and future platform, product and service functionality, and muti-platform integration.
e. Assist in the strategic direction of IP Telephony, Unified Communications and transport & access architecture.
f. Lead and/or contribute to new product and/or vendor evaluations by providing technical guidance, expertise, and feedback.
g. Provide completed solution delivery process including design and detailed configuration with implementation support.
h. Provide scope and desired results to QA Systems Engineers.
i. Lead projects to accomplish company goals on time and within budgets.
j. Recommend and handoff documented and delivered services to Operations teams based on final service architecture.
k. Support Operations on complex and/or critical production issues.
Requirements:
o BS/MSEE in Computer Science or 5
years of experience in the areas of telecommunications, IP networks, and VOIP
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the IP Telephony & Unified Communications space
o Expertise with Cisco, MS Lync & AVAYA IP Telephony & Unified Communications architectures
o Expertise with integration of various IP Telephony platforms
o Expertise with integration of various Unified Communications platforms
Desired Skills & Experience
o Expertise with Premise Based, Hosted, Cloud, and Hybrid IP Telephony deployments
o Expertise with Premise Based, Hosted, Cloud, and Hybrid Unified Communications deployments
o Expertise with VoIP Protocols - SIP; knowledge of WebRTC, H.323 & SIP-I desirable but not required
o Expertise with VoIP Media - RTP/SRTP/RTCP, RFC 2833
o Experience with Audio Conferencing Solutions and SIP Trunking integrations
o Experience with Web Collaboration Solutions and platforms
o Experience with Video Conferencing Solutions as well as integration between disparate platforms
o Experience with Social media and OTT applications in a collaboration environment
o Experience with multi-tenant environments and virtualization of applications
o Experience with Legacy Signaling Protocols - ISDN, SS7 (C7), R2, CAS, Analog is a plus
o Experience with regulatory compliance infrastructure such as CALEA & E911
o Experience with PSTN architecture and routing practices
o Experience with Cisco UCS architecture and deployment
o Experience with AVAYA Aura is a plus
o Experience with Broadsoft is a plus
o Experience with Sonus is a plus
o Experience with NGN Voice & IP Equipment Vendors.
o Experience with SIP softphones, mobile clients and IADs
o CCNA, CCDA, CCVP CCNP, CCIE, CCIE Voice, ACSA, ACIS, APDS, MCTS, MCM, MCA a plus
o Expertise in Routing Protocols & Development (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VSRP, etc.) to be used in project implementations.
o Familiarity with Network Security (FW, IDS, IPS, DOS) platforms, and protections methods against flooding, denial of service, etc.
o Knowledge of Layer 2 network design and standards, including Ethernet WAN technologies, MEF services (ELINE, ELAN, EVPN), 802.1x and 802.3xx
o IEEE standards 802.1ad QnQ, 802.1q VLAN tagging, Ethernet OAM 802.3ah and 802.1a
o Implementation of Standards and Methodologies for developing MOPs & resilient network solutions
o Traffic management and optimization - traffic shaping, classification, policing, queuing, Scheduling
o Network Management, performance measurement, fault management, access security.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
